MX record lookup

Find the mail servers for a domain and inspect its public SPF and DMARC records.

Look up a domain

Your browser sends this domain to Google Public DNS. This checks public records, not individual inboxes or catch-all behavior.

What does an MX lookup show?

MX means mail exchanger. Each record names a server that handles incoming mail and a priority that helps senders choose which server to try first. A null MX explicitly says the domain does not accept email.

DNS is one part of an email check

SPF and DMARC describe sending authentication policies. Their presence does not confirm an individual recipient or prove that a message will arrive. To check an address, use the email validator. Read about catch-all domains when acceptance is uncertain.
